| "In February 1999, our agency was the first to beta test and start using the CPSI point of care system for Home Health. The first few weeks in February we spent in training with CPSI staff on-site. The training sessions were very informative and allowed all of our agency nursing staff to have hands on training using their laptops prior to field implementation. The CPSI staff members were very helpful, patient, and able to explain the system at various different levels to ensure everyone understood point of care. The staff at CPSI was very flexible with scheduling training. The training sessions were divided to allow agency staff members to see patients and also receive training."
"After one week of classroom training, the CPSI staff went with the nursing staff on home visits. This allowed the nursing staff to document visits on their laptops, ask questions, and become more comfortable using them."
"We are really happy with the CPSI point of care for Home Care. On one occasion during the beta testing, when CPSI had to make some programming changes, we returned to hand charting. It's amazing how sometimes change is hard to accept, but it was very obvious how well the nursing staff liked remote charting in the home. They dreaded going back to handwriting visits, even for a very short time." |
