CPSI Reaches Milestones on Clients and Employees

Mobile, Ala.  - CPSI, a turnkey information systems solutions provider for hospitals and healthcare organizations, has recently reached two significant milestones.  The company now has the CPSI Healthcare Information and Patient Care System installed in over 400 healthcare facilities and now employs over 500 employees.

One of CPSI’s newest clients, Springhill Medical Center a 254-bed facility in Mobile, Ala., considered many factors when choosing an information system and chose CPSI because of its reputation of combining reliability with affordability.

“The opportunity to solidify Springhill’s core financial systems with the proven reliability offered by CPSI was primary in our decision,” said Randy Sucher, executive vice president and COO of Southern Medical Health Systems, a parent company of Springhill Medical Center.

“The chance to combine forces in our hometown to meet the growth plans of both entities is the perfect win-win scenario.”

David Dye, CPSI’s President and CEO, agrees with Mr. Sucher’s assessment of the relationship adding, “CPSI is committed to providing all of our clients with the highest level of support.  The growth we have enjoyed and our overall success can be directly attributed to that commitment.”

To meet this commitment, CPSI has pursued a business strategy of measured growth – making sure its staff grew as its number of clients grew.  With 85 percent of staff dedicated to client support, CPSI maintains a ratio of more than one support employee to each client facility.

When adding to their clinical, financial, technical and hardware support staff, CPSI actively seeks out industry professionals.

“It just makes sense,“ Tommie Peterson, CPSI’s Vice President of Clinical Software Services, points out, “to have accredited clinical professionals developing, installing, and supporting our clinical software applications.

“We have found that this peer-to-peer support methodology facilitates better communication between CPSI and our clients and makes us more responsive to our client needs.  This same philosophy is used throughout CPSI’s support divisions when making staffing decisions.”

Commenting on CPSI’s staff, Debbie Thompson, Chief Financial Officer of Sweetwater Hospital a 59-bed facility in Sweetwater, Tenn. said, “The exceptional quality of CPSI’s support personnel has been a consistent part of our six year relationship.  Their staff has proven to be professional, knowledgeable, and timely in the support they provide.  CPSI’s emphasis on support is a key reason for our continued satisfaction with the company.”

Since 1979, CPSI has remained at the forefront of healthcare information solutions and has implemented system solutions in more than 400 hospitals in 44 states.  CPSI system solutions are provided on a turnkey basis with fully integrated application software operating in a client/server environment.  The company's staff of over 500 technical, healthcare, and medical professionals provide system implementation and continuing support services as part of a comprehensive program designed to respond to clients' information needs in a constantly changing healthcare environment.
