The Archival Data Repository (ADR) provides an efficient solution for the permanent storage of, and on-line access to, historical system data reducing the healthcare enterprise’s dependence on printed records and the associated storage costs. The module has proven to be extremely beneficial to our client facilities.  The system consists of a designated disk drive that is dedicated to permanent storage.  The use of magnetic disk technology provides versatility and proven dependability.  Utilizing this configuration and the accompanying software developed by CPSI, the hospital has available a powerful tool to greatly reduce the production of paper, increase the efficiency of operations, and most importantly, be able to quickly access and reproduce the historical data.  As a fully integrated module of the CPSI system, the majority of the data maintained on the ADR is archived automatically as a result of normal system operations.
