CPSI’s Cardiopulmonary module provides timely and accurate information as a by-product of the day-to-day operations.  It communicates to nursing during the ordering process the appropriate procedures and prep instructions, keeps a journal of the orders received and processed, handles a variety of processing chores (produce schedules, reports, charges) after the order is reviewed, and allows the department to customize its results to be sent back to nursing.  The module allows the user to 1) receive orders from any designated location, 2) process the order (produce schedules, reports, charges) and 3) maintain technical, statistical and account information.  It eliminates tedious paperwork, calculations and written documentation while allowing for easy retrieval of data and statistics.
