CPSI's Document Scanning application, in conjunction with the Archival Data Repository, allows the hospital to permanently include any document in a patient's historical records. Pertinent documents such as patient transfer orders, insurance cards, drivers license, etc. can be scanned and stored electronically. All scanned documents are immediately available to authorized users throughout the facility for review and/or printing.
The electronic storage of patient documents offered through Document Scanning increases the amount of information available on-line and reduces the facility's reliance on printed records. This capability brings our community hospital clients another step closer to the realization of an enterprise-wide Computerized Patient Record (CPR).
