Code Finder
CPSI provides interface programs to allow our client hospitals to interface several different codefinder packages to the CPSI System.

The codefinder software can be used to assist medical records personnel to clinically evaluate medical charts for appropriate code assignment. The software uses physician terminology and guides the coder through a series of appropriate choices, applying the ICD-9-CM and CPT coding rules for correct coding. Once the codes are assigned by the codefinder the interface allows the user to automatically update the CPSI patient record with the correct codes.

The codefinder vendors supported include 3M, Medicus, Codemaster, Accucode and DRG Expert by IRP.

Direct Deposit
Payroll Direct Deposit Interfaces allow CPSI clients and their employees to take advantage of the benefits of electronic banking transactions. This interface automates payroll wage distribution for those employees who elect to receive their wages by direct deposit. By removing printed direct deposit lists that must be manually processed, and payroll checks that may be lost or stolen, the hospital is able to improve the efficiency, convenience, and security of the payroll distribution process.

Hospital employees are able to enjoy the benefit of distributing their wages, by percentage or flat dollar amount, into up to six different accounts at different banks without the hassle of handling checks or visiting different banks. The employee's chosen wage distribution is reported each pay period on a direct deposit statement. The system produces the direct deposit file in standard National Automated Clearinghouse Association (NACHA) format. Once created, the hospital is able to provide the file to their bank via either electronic media or modem transmission depending on the bank's requirements.

Interfaces to Standalone Systems
For those CPSI clients who have previously acquired stand-alone systems or whose needs require a specialized departmental system, we support these systems through custom interfaces.

Interfaces are programmed to the third-party system's communication specifications and allow the hospital to interface stand-alone departmental systems to the CPSI System. The interfaces provide the necessary software to perform the functions of data transmission, data receipt, formatting, storing, error detection and audit trail printing for stand-alone departmental systems. The interfaces provide for transmission of Admission, Discharge, Transfer and Patient Record update information from the System. Charges can be sent to the System from the stand-alone departmental system. Order entry from the System to the stand-alone is provided and order status and verified results can be returned to the System. Custom programming services provided by CPSI are billable at our standard rates and are the responsibility of the hospital.
