This module greatly simplifies the insurance claims processing task and handles insurance receipts as well. The Insurance Processing module provides for an unlimited number of insurance companies and claims. When a claim is to be generated, the system examines the patient records to automatically produce the completed claim. The insurance clerk is then presented an "electronic worksheet" on the screen to make any necessary changes or additions before the actual printing of the claim. The integration with the Accounts Receivable system detail makes the rebilling of a UB92 or 1500 after the fact a simple process since the charge level detail is never affected by the generation of an insurance claim. The module is also totally integrated with the Medical Records module so the ICD-9 or HCPCS codes are automatically transferred to the correct claim upon completion by Medical Records. Finally, the CPSI General Support Agreement guarantees that all billing forms will be kept in compliance with both state and federal requirements. |
